Australian dairy cows enjoy open green pastures and are free roaming. Pasture raised cows build strong immunity through their natural clean and healthy environment, which is passed onto their new born calves, to fight bacteria and viruses present in the first 24 hours of life, enough to keep them well until their own immunity has developed.

Once a cow has given birth, she produces approximately 8-10 litres of colostrum over the first 24 hours.

The first five litres is given to the calf as this is vital for its survival and health.
