Creatine helps bring intracellular water into our muscles. This assists in recovery, strength performance and fullness.
But how we use it, and how much we take determines its effectiveness and results.
Creatine works through muscle saturation. But that saturation is not immediate. So instead of taking it before a workout, we take it afterwards. After a workout is when creatine uptake is at its highest point.
Then, it’s present the next day for your workout and after your workout you take it again.
It should also be taken with PerfectAmino Electrolytes for the best results. These electrolytes can be taken during your workout for hydration and energy, or right after the workout along with PerfectAmino Creatine.
Electrolytes are necessary for creatine to be absorbed.
Ensuring Maximum Absorption
To ensure no bloating or digestive discomfort, stir creatine into warm water or liquid. It dissolves faster than in cold water. Then, let it sit for a minute, and then stir it again. We want to be sure it’s fully dissolved.
Taking PerfectAmino With PerfectAmino Creatine
While most will take two servings of PerfectAmino before a workout, many also take another serving after a workout for maximal recovery and muscle growth.
If you don’t, that’s fine.
We’ve taken two servings of PA before (10 grams), and with PerfectAmino Creatine and PerfectAmino Electrolytes, each containing 2 grams of PerfectAmino, we’ve added another 4 grams.
But if it’s been a longer or more intense workout, adding another serving of PerfectAmino here can be quite helpful.
Creatine Loading
If one is not already taking creatine there is a muscle saturation period during which the amount of creatine builds up in the muscles.
If one takes just one serving per day this saturation period can take 3-4 weeks.
That’s why many, when first starting creatine, go through a loading phase, taking 4 servings per day (20 grams), spaced out through the day, for approximately 5-7 days.
Just ensure that you do space these servings out during the day, one serving at a time.
At that point muscles should be fully saturated and 1 serving per day is enough to keep them saturated.
Take PerfectAmino Creatine Every Day
Creatine works through saturation. That’s why whether we’re on a workout day or an off day we need to take a serving of PerfectAmino creatine to keep our muscles saturated.
Remember, our muscles are recovering during these off days and the creatine present is being used.
